The Uncompromising Terroir: From Coastal Ridges to Grand Cru Slopes

A Resolute Commitment to Place We are guided by an obsession with energetic, cool-climate varietals—an honest reflection of land and vintage. Our pursuit spans twenty distinct micro-terroirs, from the wild Mendocino coastline to the high ridges of Santa Barbara, seeking the most challenging and rewarding sites in California.

The Full Circle: Auteur Burgundy Grounded in the California coast, our journey returns to its where it all began, the Côte de Nuits. This is a homecoming—bridging a New World ethos with the historic limestone of Burgundy.

We stand side-by-side at an intersection of cultures, united in Old World discipline and a fearless New World spirit, to capture a singular, unrepeatable moment of artistry and history. – Kenneth Juhasz, Winemaker

The International Debut In a landmark collaboration, we are proud to introduce the 2023 Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru. A micro-allocation from the smallest Grand Cru in Gevrey marks the beginning of our winemaking venture in Burgundy. The Auteur Burgundy Project is a long-term commitment to the region’s most storied terroirs. While we debut with the 2023 En Griotte Grand Cru, our upcoming releases will draw from a portfolio of revered appellations including Meursault, Corton, Corton-Charlemagne, and Chassagne-Montrachet
