The Judgement of Paris, brought recognition to Bacigalupi as growers when the 1973 Napa Valley Chardonnay from Chateau Montelena with Bacigalupi fruit triumphed over many acclaimed French wines to be declared the undisputed winner. Located on Westside Road in the Middle Reach of the Russian River Valley AVA, the Bacigalupi Vineyard is responsible for growing some of the most fabled, sought-after Chardonnay in all of Sonoma County.

In 1956 Charles and Helen Bacigalupi purchased 121 acres on Westside Road and obtained Chardonnay and Pinot Noir bud wood from Karl Wente, the first well-documented plantings of Pinot Noir in the Russian River Valley.

2021 Bacigalupi Chardonnay

Alluring tropical aromatics of ripe melon, tangy grapefruit, pawpaw, margarita salt, and fresh ginger. Bursts of bright natural acidity with a balanced savory attack of chanterelle mushroom, white chocolate bark, nutmeg, and crème anglaise frame a lush finish.
