Deeply rooted in a transitional site of Sonoma between salt plains and metamorphic foothills located in the coolest maritime valley of the Carneros, this site yields mineral-rich vibrancy and California sunshine. From the first vineyard the Sangiacomo family planted in 1969, Green Acres is situated in the cool coastal appellation of Carneros and benefits from rocky, well-drained soils, signature afternoon breezes, and loads of sunshine. Our Green Acres Chardonnay shows off its broad, rich texture, a natural expression from Old Wente, which contrasts with its minerality and a provoking acidity.

2020 Auteur Green Acres Chardonnay

Redolent scents of bartlett pear, cantaloupe rind, and wheatberry with invigorating hints of charred lemon and honeycrisp apple. Mouthwatering acidity layer a pleasant toasty barrel quality contributing to a rich, silky texture. This would be a fantastic Thanksgiving opener.
