Thousands of years of marine and seismic upheaval, volcanic eruptions, erosion, and alluvial deposition created an entangled Sonoma coast landscape of brooding redwood forests enlightened by apple groves, fern-filled green shady canyons where birds of prey soar above ridges and surf the maritime wind.
We produce both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay appellation wines from the Sonoma Coast, a winemaker’s backyard playground. Pinot Noir from our coastal sites brings us bright, crunchy red-edge fruits with a dense, structured core fruit. Our Chardonnay from the Sonoma Coast exhibits more citrus and mineral flavors and is fresh, lively, and bright, just like the energy of our coast.
Two Sonoma Coast Appellation blended wines are released alongside the single-vineyard releases. These releases are meant to be an entry point into our portfolio for the unacquainted. These blends are composed of the same fruit sources and blocks we use for our single-vineyard wines, making them an overture to the entire portfolio.
Our coastal blends have been featured on prestigious wine lists of top restaurants, including The French Laundry Kitchen, Single Thread Farms, Bouchon, Spago Beverly Hills, Charter Oak, and others.
